Konica Minolta launches Workplace Pure Accounting, a new feature within its Workplace Pure cloud platform. The new functionality enables businesses to gain full transparency and control over their document and cloud service usage — making it easier than ever to monitor, allocate, and optimize costs.

Empowering smarter, more transparent workplaces

Workplace Pure is Konica Minolta’s central cloud platform that streamlines everyday business processes — from printing, scanning, and copying to converting and translating documents. With the addition of the new Accounting feature, organizations can now track their usage across all services and devices in real time, turning everyday workflows into valuable insights for better cost management and efficiency.

Thomas Rekersdrees

Senior Product Manager Digital Platforms, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe

“Many organizations struggle to allocate costs accurately to departments or projects. Workplace Pure Accounting provides the transparency needed to make informed decisions, helping our customers reduce waste and increase efficiency – easy to manage without the need for IT expertise.”

Full cost transparency

With Workplace Pure Accounting, all activities — whether printing, scanning, copying, or using Workplace Pure Services such as Convert or Translate — are automatically recorded as “clicks.” Administrators can set individual cost-per-click rates for various types of prints, scans, copies, and Workplace Pure services using a customizable price list. Tracking allows usage processes to be assigned to individual departments, teams, or projects for precise analysis and billing. This gives companies the benefit of complete cost transparency, as they can see exactly which services are being used and where costs are incurred at any time.

The statistics are listed in a dashboard, displayed graphically, and can be exported via CSV file for further actions.

Tracking all activities – even outside the Workplace Pure environment

To count usage on multifunction printers (MFPs), the new Authentication App simply needs to be assigned to the device within the Workplace Pure environment. User must authenticate themselves at the MFP before each use. This ensures that MFP usage is fully tracked both inside and outside the Workplace Pure environment. All authentication methods are supported, including username/password, username/PIN, card, and more.

Thanks to its easy setup and simple administration, no additional implementation effort or IT support is required.

Availability

Workplace Pure Accounting will be officially launched as part of Workplace Pure Version 2.8, following the successful Early Access Program with selected customers across Europe. The feature is available free of charge to all Workplace Pure customers. It will be available in the Workplace Pure store and can easily be activated for all users through the Workplace Pure platform at www.workplacepure.com.
